Following on from their appearance at Caught By The River’s Bush Hall event in February, Virginia and Florence Astley will be returning to perform at Caught By The River Thames – a 2 day event taking place at Fulham Palace this August.
The event will feature music performances from Low, Super Furry Animals, Beth Orton, Mulatu Astatke, Kate Tempest, Sun Ra Arkestra, Temples (playing one of only two UK festival shows this year), South Algerian five-piece Imarhan and mind-expanding girl group Stealing Sheep. Also appearing is broadcaster and writer Lauren Laverne who will interview Chris Packham on stage about his incredible forthcoming autobiography Fingers in the Sparkle Jar (described by Robert Macfarlane as “like nothing else I know… a flickering vat of life itself.”).
Virginia and Florence will once again be presenting a spoken word performance featuring harp and flute accompaniment as they take audiences on a river journey.
Caught By The River Thames takes place on 6/7 August 2016 at Fulham Palace. You can find more details on the event on the Caught By The River website: www.caughtbytheriver.net
