On the 18th September 2001, CEDAR Audio announced its annual award winners (CEDAR Audio Awards recognise outstanding contributions in the field of audio restoration.).
In the ‘Modern Recording’ (CD remastering from a modern recording post 1949) category,the winner was Jon Astley (Virginia’s brother) for his work on George Harrison’s All
Things Must Pass album.
This is the second time that Jon has won an award in this category. The first time was in 1998 for his work on the Led Zeppelin BBC sessions on Atlantic Recordings.
