NOTESAn early concept for a solo album on Operation Twilight by Virginia scheduled for release on the 5th July 1982. The album was to feature a series of piano pieces along with "non-human voices" The album initially only had a working title of She Sat Down And Cried, sometimes referred to as She Stood Up And Cried. Often mistakenly thought of as an early working title for From Gardens Where We Feel Secure, this album was a separate project. This album also featured on Crépuscule's catalogue under the listing TWI095. |
TRIVIAOperation Twilight was the UK subsidiary label of Les Disques Du Crépuscule. There was talk of working with John Foxx on this project (and even rumours that he produced some early demos) but the hectic work schedule of Foxx meant that nothing was ever realised. Virginia did visit Foxx's studio, but this was for the recording of the Siouxsie & The Banshees 1982 single 'Fireworks'. |
